NBCUniversal- and Comcast-owned cable net Bravo has commissioned a new social experiment format to take on gender differences.
In a Man’s World will see women “transformed” into men, allowing them to get a glimpse into the world of living as a man.
Each episode will follow a different woman’s journey, working with makeup artists and voice and movement coaches before going out into the world and engaging with people before revealing their disguise.
In a Man’s World is produced for Bravo by Lucky 8 and JuVee Productions. Kim Woodard, Greg Henry, Isaac Holub, George Kralovansky, Kate Bernstein and Danielle Medina serve as executive producers for Lucky 8. Viola Davis, Julius Tennon and Andrew Wang serve as executive producers for Juvee.
“We at JuVee continue our commitment to illuminate the challenges and obstacles of the voiceless,” said Davis, in a statement. “Our goal is to be disrupters. We are so proud of the originality and boldness of In A Man’s World and it is our hope that it shifts you a little.”
In a Man’s World premieres on Bravo in the fall. A specific air date has not yet been set.
