London-headquartered international prodco and distributor Fremantle has bolstered its non-scripted content team with the appointment of Harry Gamsu as vice president of non-scripted content acquisitions, and Céire Clark as senior acquisitions manager.
Gamsu (pictured, left) will be based in Los Angeles and manage the U.S.-based content acquisitions team. His responsibilities will include sourcing new content from across the U.S. and Canada for development and international distribution, and negotiating rights for distribution opportunities with a mix of third party and in-house producers.
He previously served as VP of non-scripted at Red Arrow Studios International. Before that he held international distribution and acquisition roles at Warner Bros. International Television Production and Outright Distribution.
Clark (right) will be based in the London HQ. She will work with Fremantle creatives and develop further relationships with key independent producers. Clark will source new content and work with producers to retain IP and develop international commercial potential, as well as developing commercial strategies for content.
She previously managed non-scripted acquisitions at All3Media, working with the group’s 28 production companies across the globe. Before that, she was part of the acquisitions and programming team at National Geographic Television International.
Gamsu and Clark will both report to Angela Neillis, SVP of non-scripted content for Fremantle’s distribution business.
“We’ve spent a lot of time developing our non-scripted pipeline and have been working with a number of really special producers to do that,” said Neillis in a statement. “With Harry and Céire on the bench, working with such brilliant producers, we know we bring something genuinely new and refreshing to the market.”
