Toronto-based prodco Saloon Media, a Blue Ant Studios company, has appointed Nick Crowe to the position of production executive.
In this role, Crowe (pictured) will develop new series and specials for the global market in factual entertainment.
He joins the company after a three-year stint with Toronto-based indie Alibi Entertainment, where he developed series such as Thank You, Canada on the History Channel, Northern Gold on TVO and Spaceman on CBC.
Crowe previously served as director of original factual content at Canadian broadcasting company Shaw Media. In that role, he looked after production and development of new series and specials destined for History Channel, National Geographic Channel and Global, including Ice Road Truckers, Dieppe Uncovered and William Shatner’s Weird or What.
“Nick brings a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise to our team as our production slate is ramping up,” Michael Kot, managing director at Saloon Media, said in a statement. “His track record of working closely with co-production partners all over the world also aligns perfectly with the scope of projects we are working on.”
