Global streaming giant Netflix has revealed the judges and air date for its first ever music competition format.

Rhythm + Flow will feature hip hop stars Cardi B, Chance the Rapper and T.I. sitting in the judges’ chairs and John Legend serving as executive producer.

The series follows the three judges as they search for the next hip hop sensation. The search will take them to Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and Chicago — four “hip hop epicenters” in America — to find raw talent and help undiscovered artists pursue the careers of their dreams.

The 10 x 60-minute format is produced by Gaspin Media, Jesse Collins Entertainment, and Get Lifted Film Co. Executive producers are Jeff Gaspin for Gaspin Media; Jesse Collins for Jesse Collins Entertainment; Nikki Boella; John Legend, Mike Jackson, and Ty Stiklorius for Get Lifted Film Co.; Jeff Pollack; Cardi B; Chance the Rapper; and Tip “T.I.” Harris.

Rhythm + Flow launches globally on Netflix on Oct. 9.

New episodes will roll out on three consecutive Wednesdays. Oct. 9 will see the auditions in episodes 1 to 4. Oct. 16 will feature cyphers, rap battles and music videos in episodes 5 to 7. And Oct. 23 will wrap things up with samples, collaborations and the finale in episodes 8 to 10.
