Quibi and Vox Media Studios are partnering to create a daily culture and gaming news show produced by Polygon, Vox Media’s culture and gaming network.
The show will present a “hyperfast” injection of news geared to the gaming and gaming adjacent community for Quibi’s Daily Essentials lineup, the mobile streamer’s minutes-long bites of news and entertainment.
Episodes, which run Monday through Friday, will serve up the day’s top headlines in the space while taking deep dives into trending topics with expert analysis.
The series will be under seven minutes, offering viewers a “jam-packed punch of gaming related intel.” Through Polygon, the show will secure exclusive interviews with top talent and first look previews, Quibi stated in a release.
Los Angeles-headquartered Quibi, overseen by founder Jeffrey Katzenberg and CEO Meg Whitman, is expected to launch in April 2020.
The mobile, short-form streamer has been bolstering its slate in recent months, most recently partnering with The Weather Channel for a mixed-reality daily weather show.
