Super Channel president and CEO Don McDonald has streamlined his executive team, elevating a number of directors to top posts at the Canadian national pay TV network.
Effective today (Nov. 1), director of programming Jackie Pardy (pictured) is now chief content officer, overseeing all aspects of content acquisition and development across Super Channel’s four channels, as well as network scheduling.
Meanwhile, director, consumer marketing Katie Lee and director, affiliate marketing Marlene Lone will now serve as chief marketing officer and chief revenue officer, respectively. In her new position as chief revenue officer, Lone will oversee the revenue department – formerly affiliate sales – with an eye to generate new revenue streams. Prior to joining Super Channel in December 2018, Lone served as executive producer of in-house productions at Rogers.
Rounding out the team is Carol Ljuden, chief technology officer; Richard Pardis, business affairs and regulatory; and Lynn Fowler, human resources. Ljuden, was recently appointed director, information technology, and will now oversee all broadcast operations and information technology, with a focus on moving the company onto new platforms.
A chief financial officer will be named at a later date, finalizing the roster. In the meantime, McDonald will assume these responsibilities until the post has been filled. No layoffs were associated with this restructuring, according to Super Channel in a press release. Both Lone and Pardy will continue to be based in Toronto, while all other executives are based in Edmonton.
