Global entertainment, sports and content company Endeavor has made an investment in Lloyd Braun‘s digital media firm Whalerock Industries.

Under the deal, Endeavor will become a strategic operating partner in Whalerock, and Braun (pictured) will become president of Endeavor’s representation and management businesses.

Those include entertainment agency WME; fashion management companies IMG Models, The Wall Group, Art + Commerce and LENS; and IMG’s global licensing business.

In his new role, Braun will be responsible for leveraging Endeavor’s resources to elevate the company’s offerings for clients across entertainment, sports and fashion.

Replacing Braun as CEO will be Anne-Marie O’Neill, who currently serves as chief operating officer. The Whalerock team will now work closely alongside Endeavor’s global creative agency 160over90.

Whalerock Industries was founded by Braun in 2007, and specializes in strategic consulting and organizational design. Prior to Whalerock, Braun was head of Yahoo!’s media group, where he oversaw the company’s myriad media properties. Before that, he was chairman of ABC Entertainment Television Group, managing the development of such unscripted series as The Bachelor.

In addition, Braun previously served as president of Brillstein-Grey Entertainment over a five-year period, overseeing its motion picture, television and management divisions.

“Lloyd is an innovative, creative executive with an innate ability to identify and grow successful businesses for individuals and brands,” said Mark Shapiro, president of Endeavor, in a statement. “Lloyd possesses a rare and unique perspective, having held executive positions at the intersection of talent management, content creation and digital production. I was lucky enough to work with Lloyd while he was at ABC, where I witnessed firsthand his significant expertise and passion for the creative community.

“Whalerock’s successful track record in strategic consulting and operational design will serve as the ideal complement to 160over90′s capabilities across advertising, branding, experiential, partnerships, PR and communications.”
