Los Angeles-based Brian Graden Media (BGM) has partnered with Grammy award-winning songwriter and music producer Philip Lawrence for the reality series Play It Forward.

In each episode, Lawrence (pictured left) and his team work with an aspiring artist to write an original song and hone their vocal skills and stage mastery for a performance at an “A-list” musician’s live show.

Play It Forward will include Lawrence’s personal collaborators, such as vocal coach Nick Cooper, producer/songwriter Davy Nathan and choreographer Jimmy R.O. Smith.

Lawrence will executive produce the series with BGM’s Brian Graden (right) and Dave Mace, as well as Joshua Dolberg and Robyn Matlin.

“To know Philip is to love him; no one genuinely cares more than Philip. That’s why everyone in the industry, at both the top and trying to break in, wants to work with him,” Graden said in a statement.

The project is currently not attached to a broadcaster. Play It Forward will be taken out to market shortly.
