American factual SVOD CuriosityStream is launching a new original history series that looks at how money makes the world go round.

Hi$tory will take an irreverent look at some of the greatest myths of American history, revealing how influential money was in shaping the world as we know it today.

The four-part series is hosted by humorist, writer and NPR host Peter Sagal (pictured), with each episode covering a major historical event, including Watergate, the Civil War, the transcontinental railroad and the Cold War, as told by following the money.

Noah Morowitz is the executive producer for CuriosityStream.

Hi$tory focuses on events in our past that almost every American knows, but Peter Sagal delightfully tells these stories through a cash-colored lens with a healthy dose of humor,” said Rob Burk, head of content for CuriosityStream, in a statement. “Hi$tory strikes at the heart of what CuriosityStream aims to accomplish — finding new, insightful and engaging ways to look at the stories that define our world.”

The series premieres Nov. 18, with all four episodes dropping at once exclusively on CuriosityStream.
