AMC Networks hires Noel Manzano
AMC Networks has named former Hoodlum Entertainment executive Noel Manzano as VP of international programming.
Manzano (pictured) will now be responsible for finding and developing original content with creative talent while also working within AMC Networks Entertainment Group to move existing projects forward.
He reports into AMC Networks’ Kristin Jones, EVP of international programming and programming innovation.
Most recently, Manzano served as director of development at Brisbane, Australia-headquartered Hoodlum Entertainment, where he managed the company’s U.S. content development slate and strategy from its U.S. offices in Los Angeles. Previously, Manzano worked film acquisitions for Asian VOD service iflix and was director of acquisitions for Dynamic Television.
“Noel is a talented creative executive who will help us identify and develop compelling content from around the world,” Jones said in a statement. “Great stories can come from anywhere, and our entertainment networks have brought viewers a number of unforgettable series with international auspices in recent years. We look forward to continuing to find and work with remarkable storytellers, wherever they are, and Noel will be a key part of that effort across our entertainment networks.”
