The Hunting Ground‘s Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering will produce and co-direct a documentary for Apple TV+ about sexual assault in the music industry.

Oprah Winfrey has boarded the yet untitled project as executive producer along with Dan Cogan, executive director and co-founder of documentary financier Impact Partners.

The film, slated for 2020, follows a former music executive who grapples with whether to go public with her story of assault and abuse by a “notable figure” in the industry.

It will provide an “examination of race, gender, class and intersectionality, and the toll assaults take on their victims and society at large.”

The documentary is produced by Dick (pictured left) and Ziering’s (right) Jane Doe Films with Terry Wood (Harpo Productions), Regina Scully (Artemis Rising), Ian Darling (Shark Island) and Abigail Disney (Level Forward) serving as executive producers with Winfrey and Cogan.

The creative team includes producers Jamie Rogers and Amy Herdy.
