CNN has commissioned Toronto’s Cream Productions to produce a docuseries on the history of late night television.

The Story of Late Night will track the history of late night TV from its inception, highlighting the careers of luminaries like Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, David Letterman, Conan O’Brien (pictured), Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.

The six-part series features interviews with the likes of O’Brien, Fallon, Kimmel, Seth Meyers, James Corden, Trevor Noah, Lorne Michaels, Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, Chelsea Handler, Hasan Minhaj, Ray Romano, Andy Cohen, Paul Telegdy, George Cheeks, Jeff Zucker, Warren Littlefield, Rick Ludwin, Debbie Vickers, Lloyd Braun, Nina Tassler, Andy Richter, Jeff Ross, Merrill Markoe, Dick Cavett and Busy Phillips.

David Brady, Kate Harrison, Bill Carter and Jennifer Harkness serve as executive producers. John Ealer is director and showrunner.
