Leon Wilson and Ed Sleeman, former senior executives at Fremantle-backed Talkback, have launched Great Scott Media in partnership with global indie producer-distributor All3Media.

Headquartered in London, Great Scott will focus on developing entertainment, comedy entertainment, factual entertainment and scripted comedy series for domestic and international broadcasters and streaming platforms.

All programming will be distributed by All3Media’s international sales house, All3Media International. Several projects are currently in development alongside a commission for an unnamed “major UK broadcaster.”

Great Scott will join All3Media’s growing international network of award-winning indie production, distribution and digital media companies, which currently includes All3Media America, betty, Lime Pictures, Caravan, Lion Television, Maverick, Little Dot Studios, Raw TV, Objective Media Group, Optomen, and Studio Lambert, among others.

Prior to launching Great Scott Media, Wilson served as managing director of Talkback Thames, while Sleeman was MD of Talkback. The pair worked together to develop and exec produce a range of series including Celebrity Juice, Harry’s Heroes, Your Face or Mine, Through The Keyhole and Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Worrier.

Elsewhere, the entertainment and comedy prodco has appointed Hungry Bear Media alum Susie Hall as head of development.

Hall most recently held a senior position within Hungry Bear’s development and production teams. Previously, Hall held senior roles with Talkback and 12 Yard Productions.

Wilson and Sleeman were advised by Tom Manwaring of Helion Partners.

“Partnering with All3Media gives us the backing and scale to match our ambition to create and deliver innovative, returnable and scalable formats for British and global markets, including streaming platforms where we see huge new potential for entertainment and scripted comedy shows,” said Sleeman and Wilson, joint MDs of Great Scott Media, in a joint statement. “We want the very best creative talent to find a home at Great Scott and so we are thrilled to have Susie join us and will be announcing further creative hires shortly.”
