HGTV, Discovery invest in Scott brothers’ e-commerce business
HGTV and parent company Discovery have struck a deal with Property Brothers‘ Jonathan and Drew Scott to invest in the siblings’ home renovation-focused e-commerce platform Casaza and provide “promotional consideration” to the year old company.
As part of the deal, Casaza will feature specially curated collections from designers, including the Scott brothers, that appeal to HGTV viewers.
Naked Beach to be adapted in Germany
German broadcaster SAT1 has commissioned four 70-minute episodes of the Magnify Media-represented format Naked Beach, originally created by Argonon-owned Barefaced TV for British pubcaster Channel 4.
The format sees people with body confidence issues flown to a sunny beach where they are met by naked hosts. Over the course of the week, the participants are coached to change the way they think about themselves and be comfortable in their own skin.
Keshet International-owned Tresor TV will produce the series for German audiences, titled No Body Is Perfect - Das Nacktexperiment (The Naked Experiment). It will premiere in late January.
