Expert mechanic Jesse James is to return to cable television after a 14-year absence in the latest season of Discovery Channel’s Monster Garage.

Produced by Fremantle’s Original Productions, the newest season promises an upgraded garage and cutting-edge technology with custom builds.

James, founder of Texas-based West Coast Choppers, aims to bring a renewed passion and an expanded skill set for forging and blacksmithing, which includes a metal-working apprenticeship with Uri Hofi, one of the world’s most accomplished blacksmiths.

Monster Garage is slated to premiere on Discovery Channel later this year.

Original’s Jeff Hasler, Brian Lovett, Ernie Avila and Sam Wasserman serve as executive producers alongside Discovery Channel’s Kyle Wheeler and Gretchen Morning are executive producers. Discovery’s Ethan Galvin is producer. Jesse James also serves as executive producer.

“Jesse James is one of a kind – his builds are incredible; challenging on all fronts, but more than worth it in the end. He is bringing back Monster Garage to his Discovery home after 14 years with even more tricks up his sleeve. We are so looking forward to spotlighting his extraordinary talents on Motor Mondays,” said Nancy Daniels, chief brand officer of Discovery & Factual.
