Hecho Studios adds development head

Los Angeles-based production company Hecho Studios has added to its growing team with the addition of a new head of development.

Adam Milano joins in the new position from Live Nation, where he was the SVP of production and produced the Believer documentary, and Gaga: Five Foot Two. Previously he was the SVP of film at SYCO Entertainment, and produced the One Direction movie This is Us. He began his career at Sony Pictures Entertainment as VP of production.

In his new role, he will bring the prodco’s originals entertainment into more reality, music-based and pop culture, and support the newly formed branded content division. Milano will report to Hecho Studios resident Briony McCarthy.

“Adam is both radically in tune with culture and a consummate experienced creator and producer,” said McCarthy. “The brands we work with are hungry for quality content so we’re growing fast and Adam will be growing with us.”

Last year, Hecho Studios appointed Evan Rosenfeld to head of documentary and TV.

CJ ENM’s 300: War of United Voices remade for Germany

South Korean entertainment giant CJ ENM has sent its music competition format 300: War of United Voices to Germany.

The non-scripted series, which will broadcast locally as United Voices: Das größte Fanduell der Welt, premieres on March 13 via German broadcaster SAT.1. The three-episode series is produced by Tresor TV.

300: War of United Voices provides leading artists partner with 300 fans to perform one song together with united choreography.

CJ ENM secured a development deal with Endemol Shine France for 300: War of United Voices last September. The format, meanwhile, has aired for two seasons in Korea via channel tvN.
