Ed de Burgh and Ben Shephard’s London-based label Wildcard Television, a division of Objective Media Group, has appointed former Fox executive Becca Walker as its creative director.

In the role, Walker (pictured) will be tasked with expanding upon the company’s push to deliver large-scale entertainment formats and series for the UK market and abroad.

Relocating to London from the U.S., Walker will work alongside de Burgh and Shephard when she takes up the role this November.

Walker most recently served as an executive producer at the American commercial broadcaster over the last three years where she oversaw a number of the network’s entertainment series, including The Four: Battle for Stardom and Celebrity Watch Party.

Prior to this, she was an executive producer at ITV Studios where her credits included The Voice I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!Love Island and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Wildcard was launched in October of last year by Objective Media Group, part of All3Media’s UK roster. At the time of launch, the label was billed as the production home for Objective’s game and quiz show content, with De Burgh coming to Wildcard from his post as a development executive behind several Objective entertainment programs, and Shephard joining the team from a career as a presenter for numerous game and quiz shows airing in the UK.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better start for Wildcard and the team – it’s been quite the 10 months,” said Shephard and de Burgh in a joint statement. “Becca joining marks the next exciting step on the label’s journey and we look forward to making some truly wonderful TV with her.”
