ViacomCBS-backed pay-TV channel Comedy Central UK has augmented its programming slate with the commission of Guessable and Channel Hopping with Jon Richardson.

Produced by London-based entertainment indie Tuesday’s Child Television, Guessable serves as an 8 x 60-minute trivia panel series that pits two celebrity teams against one another in an effort to identify the famous name or object inside a mystery box.

English comedian and actress Sara Pascoe hosts with comedian John Kearns on hand as her assistant. Stand-up comedians Alan Davies and Darren Harriott will serve as team captains.

Elsewhere, the Rumpus Media-produced Channel Hopping with Jon Richardson will feature the British comic as he presents a “weekly digest of the world’s wildest TV.”

Each episode of the 6 x 60-minute format will see Richardson compiling the week’s curious headlines, hilarious clips, terrible soap opera acting while also talking to the characters of the clips to find out more about their 15 minutes of fame.

Premiere dates for the two projects have not yet been announced.

“These new series will bring a big dose of laughter to our expanding UK slate,” said Sebastian Cardwell, deputy director of programs at ViacomCBS Networks UK, in a statement. “With strong formats and a number of exceptional comedy talents attached to them, they are the perfect recipe of fun and humor.”
