Unscripted television producer and developer Jonny Cogut has been promoted to vice president of development at Jeff Jenkins Productions (JJP), the reality and documentary content house established in 2018 as a joint venture between industry veteran Jeff Jenkins and 3BMG (3 Ball Media Group).
Cogut (pictured) was previously director of development at JJP, where he shepherded unscripted projects including Facebook Watch’s recent docuseries Unfiltered: Paris Jackson & Gabriel Glenn, as well as shows for networks and platforms including Netflix, Lifetime and TLC, among others.
Prior to JJP, the executive was on the development team at Brian Graden Media, working across the company’s slate of docuseries, gameshows and unscripted formats. He also previously served as creative director at Refinery29, developing short-form projects for digital platforms.
Cogut originally worked with Jenkins during their tenures at Bunim/Murray Productions, where Jenkins was co-president. During his time with the company, Cogut served as a producer on series such as Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Total Divas (E!), Miz & Mrs. (USA), and Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club (MTV).
“Jonny has quickly demonstrated an acute understanding of the JJP brand,” Jenkins said in a statement. “We share a passion for content emanating from every exciting and glamorous corner of the pop culture universe, and his drive and enthusiasm for the work never waver, even amid arduous times. His new position at the company is well deserved.”
JJP is currently working on an upcoming docuseries for Netflix as well as other series set with streamers and networks.
In addition to JJP, 3BMG’s partners include Parabolic Content, Lost Arts Pictures and 3 Ball Productions.
