Emmy Award-winning unscripted executive and producer Helga Eike has been named president of Westbrook’s Red Table Talk business.

An initiative of Westbrook – the media company founded by Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith, Miguel Melendez and Ko Yada – Red Table Talk is Facebook Watch’s most successful original program with over one billion views since its launch in 2018.

In her new role, Eike (pictured) will oversee all aspects of the business – from development and production of original programming, to strategic growth initiatives in podcast, literary, live experiences and other ancillary products.

She will focus on scaling the original Red Table Talk format as well as building new concepts, working closely with Jada, Melendez and Ellen Rakieten, as well as each of the Westbrook divisions (Studios, Media and Good Goods).

“Over the course of her career, Helga has demonstrated a deep understanding of what it takes not only to develop and execute a hit show, but also to leverage content into new touch points that bring joy and inspiration to people,” Jada Pinkett Smith said in a statement. “Her boundless creativity, operational know-how, and ability to find stories that unite people in shared experience and compassion is a carefully honed skill and we are so excited for her to join our team as we continue this journey building the Red Table Talk family.”

Eike was previously president of Banijay-owned Authentic Entertainment – an unscripted prodco that counts TLC, Food Network, HGTV, Bravo, CNBC, Complex Networks and Disney as clients. Prior to that, she served as president of her own label, Red Bandit Media (in partnership with ITV America), and spent 10 years at Authentic as head of development.

Westbrook’s recent unscripted projects have included a 30-year anniversary special for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (HBO Max) and Snap’s The Solution Committee.
