UP Entertainment, the parent company of UPtv, has bolstered its senior team with the promotions of long-time executives Melissa Ingram and Julia Lucas.
Ingram (pictured, left) has been elevated to the newly created position of SVP of multicultural networks and strategy.
In this role, Ingram will continue to oversee the daily operations of AspireTV, a cable network targeting African American viewers, and will also be responsible for driving the growth of current and future UP Entertainment multicultural brands across all distribution platforms.
The executive joined UP Entertainment in 2008 as senior counsel of business and legal affairs, and was most recently general manager and VP of AspireTV.
Prior to boarding UP Entertainment, Ingram was an associate lawyer with an Atlanta-based boutique entertainment firm, The Carter Law Firm, handling entertainment contracts.
Lucas (right), meanwhile, has been named VP of content services and production management.
Having joined UP Entertainment in 2009, she most recently served as senior director, production and content services, where she was responsible for supervising production of original series and movies, overseeing talent relations for UPtv, and working with the development team to deliver content to all platforms across the UP Entertainment network of brands.
Lucas previously held a variety of titles at Turner Broadcasting (WarnerMedia) during a tenure that lasted 10 years.
