ITV Entertainment, a division of ITV America, has secured a series pickup from ABC for the quiz show The Chase, based on the popular British format created by Potato, part of ITV Studios.

Sara Haines (ABC’s The View) will host with Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time‘s James Holzhauer, Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter taking turns serving as the “Chaser” – a quiz genius determined to stop contestants from winning cash prizes.

Each hour-long episode features up to 166 questions across all topics. New contestants face-off against the Chasers each week.

Adam Sher, Bernie Schaeffer and Vin Rubino are executive producers.

A premiere date is expected to be announced at a later date.

The British version of the series has spawned spin-offs such as The Family Chase and Beat the Chasers on ITV. Local versions of the original format also air in Australia and New Zealand.

Beat the Chasers, picked up for a second season in the UK, was also recently commissioned in Finland by MTV3, to be produced by ITV Studios Finland, in addition to being acquired by Seven in Australia.
