Fremantle UK production label Naked has hired UKTV commissioning editor Natalie Rose as its head of features.
At UKTV, the executive served as commissioning editor for factual and factual entertainment. There, her credits include Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over for W, Big Zuu’s Big Eats for Dave and Warbird Workshop for Yesterday.
She also executive produced Bangers and Cash for Yesterday, Borderforce: America’s Gatekeepers for Dave, John Bishop In Conversation With… for W, along with the channel’s longest running UKTV Original series, Inside the Ambulance.
Rose said in a statement: “I’ve had an extraordinary three years at UKTV, but I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining such an impressive and formidable team who are spear-heading real change. Their passion for radical, distinctive and engaging programming, as well as diversity both on and off screen, is truly exciting, and I cannot wait to get started.”
Fremantle acquired a minority stake in unscripted start up Naked in 2015 and in February 2020 announced a full 100% ownership while at the same time recruiting Simon Andreae as CEO of the UK business.
In September, the global producer-distributor merged Naked with its UK label Boundless under the leadership of Salaria, who joined the company after departing Channel 4 in July.
The merged prodco, retaining the name Naked Television, carries within its roster such unscripted series as the UK version of The Apprentice, The Rap Game UK, Grand Designs and 100% Hotter, and factual and specialist factual fare such as 60 Days on the Streets, The Day I Picked My Parents and Planet Sex, hosted by Cara Delevingne.
