Spanish version of RuPaul’s Drag Race heads to Spain
Drag Race Spain will feature an unnamed cast of Spanish drag queens taking part in weekly challenges that will culminate with contestants presenting themed looks in a runway walk. The series host and a panel of judges will critique each challenger’s performance, with the least impressive routine resulting in elimination.
The host, judges, cast and premiere date of Drag Race Spain will be revealed in the months to come.
The Spanish adaptation will be produced by Atresmedia TV in collaboration with Buendía Estudios. It will be executive produced by World of Wonder’s Randy Barbato, Fenton Bailey and Tom Campbell.
Drag Race Spain will be available to stream on WOW Presents Plus in the UK, U.S. and internationally, and on ATRESplayer Premium in Spain.
The deal with ATRESplayer Premium was brokered by Passion Distribution’s Nick Tanner, director of sales and coproductions, and senior sales manager Eliana Barbosa.
Passion Distribution will distribute the series globally.
