Discovery-owned Science Channel has slated an early December debut for the investigative series Conspiracies Decoded, which looks to solve history’s greatest mysteries.

Produced by London-based indie Bigger Bang, the 10-part series will chart a group of experts as they revisit some of history’s most puzzling crimes and conspiracies by applying CGI and forensic science techniques to reconstruct evidence and uncover new insights into the events.

Mysteries investigated throughout the inaugural season include the sinking of the USS Scorpion, a submarine that sank to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean following an unexplained explosion that killed 99 crewmen in 1968; and a possible conclusion to the decades-long mystery behind Amelia Earhart’s disappearance.

Bigger Bang’s Iain Riddick and Tom Adams serve as executive producers, with Andrew Barron listed as series producer. For Science Channel, Wyatt Channell is executive producer.

The series is distributed globally by Fremantle.

Conspiracies Decoded premieres Dec. 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Science Channel.
