Discovery’s Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) is expanding its Friday night unscripted programming lineup with Belle Collective from Love & Marriage: Huntsville producers Kingdom Reign Entertainment.
The series, premiering Jan. 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, centers on the personal and professional lives of Black female entrepreneurs redeveloping a struggling mid-20th century historic district in Jackson, Mississippi, once a hub for Black-owned businesses.
Belle Collective is executive produced by Carlos King and Slane Hatch for Kingdom Reign Entertainment. Angela Dugan, Mimi Adams and Cherelle Hinds serve as co-executive producers.
The announcement comes not long after the network launched its first-ever food programming block in November with four cooking series. Additionally, in October, OWN expanded its unscripted programming block to two nights, debuting the series Put a Ring on It and Behind Every Man.
