Veteran producers Katy Wallin and Stephanie Bloch Chambers have extended their overall TV deal with Lionsgate.
The non-fiction team will continue to develop and produce original series for broadcast networks, cable platforms and premium streamers.
The partnership between Wallin Chambers Entertainment and Lionsgate has already created two unscripted series: De Viaje Con Los Derbez (Derbez Family Vacation) is a docu-comedy series featuring star Eugenio Derbez; while House of Ho is a docu-dramedy inspired by the film Crazy Rich Asians that chronicles the daily and lavish lives of a Vietnamese-American family. The latter series premieres on HBO Max December 10.
“Katy and Stephanie are incredibly talented producers and great partners for our content,” Lionsgate SVP and head of unscripted programming Alice Dickens-Koblin said in a statement. “We’re very proud of the projects which we have already collaborated on and are excited to extend our relationship to bring more fun, diverse and heartfelt premium series to our unscripted programming slate.”
Wallin Chambers was founded by co-presidents Wallin (pictured right) and Bloch Chambers (left) in 2018. Wallin is known for creating and executive producing Meet the Putnams for TLC and Bernie Mac’s Welcome to the Family for NBC.
She is also the CEO and president of talent company MysticArt Pictures.
Chambers, meanwhile, has been a producer in unscripted television for the past 20 years. She is currently the showrunner for De Viaje Con Los Derbez.
