American commercial broadcaster CBS has greenlit the hour-long reality series Secret Celebrity Renovation from Robert Horowitz‘s Juma Entertainment.
Hosted by Entertainment Tonight‘s Nischelle Turner, the series will give celebs across the sports, music and entertainment spaces the opportunity to give a surprise home renovation to a meaningful person in their lives.
Meanwhile, home improvement contractor and television personality Jason Cameron (Man Cave, While You Were Out) and interior designer Sabrina Soto (Design Star, Trading Spaces) will set out to help the famous faces by completely transforming each home.
Celebrities lined up to participate in season one include the Grammy Award-winning artist and The Talk host Eve; actor and comedian Wayne Brady (Let’s Make A Deal); Phoenix Suns point guard and NBA All-Star Chris Paul; and pro football Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith, among others.
“Behind the lights and glamour, actors, musicians and athletes are real people who wouldn’t be who or what they are today without some help along the way,” said Juma Entertainment’s Horowitz in a statement. “Returning to their hometowns for a heartfelt walk down memory lane to thank a special person in their lives gives every episode of Secret Celebrity Renovation so much depth and emotion.”
CBS has yet to announce a premiere date for the series.
