London-headquartered factual producer Arrow Pictures has appointed Katie Elmes to the position of development executive.
Elmes (pictured) has worked in both a production and development capacity, developing more than 100 hours of factual programming for the British, American and international markets and working in development and production for networks and producers including the BBC, Blink, Nutopia and Voltage.
Most recently a freelance development executive, her credits include Our Coast (BBC2) and London: 2000 Years of History (Channel 5).
Elmes previously served as development executive at Big Wheel Film and Television with credits including Sue Perkins: Along the U.S.-Mexico Border (BBC1).
As head of development for Blink Films, she commissioned such titles as The Missing Evidence (Channel Five/Smithsonian); Nazi Secret Files (American Heroes Channel and Discovery International); and Titanic: The New Evidence (Channel 4).
She takes up the position at Arrow Pictures — led by creative director John Smithson and MD Iain Pelling — immediately.
Elmes said in a statement: “To work alongside such a renowned filmmaker as John Smithson is an opportunity I was thrilled to accept and am excited to begin. I am looking forward to expanding my blue-chip factual experience into the feature documentary space. There is no better place to do so than at Arrow Pictures.”
Arrow Pictures and its sister label, Arrow Media, are part of Arrow International Media.
