British broadcaster ITV has commissioned the game show Moneyball, a co-production from Possessed and Potato, both outfits hail from ITV Studios.
Hosted by former professional soccer player Ian Wright (pictured), the primetime game show will see contestants navigate their way through a series of questions in order to accumulate large sums of money for every correct answer.
As the prize pot grows, players may consider an early exit, but they’ll have to take on one final shot that could see them forced back into the game or leaving with their cash.
Moneyball was ordered by Katie Rawcliffe, head of ITV entertainment commissioning, and Joe Mace, ITV commissioning editor for entertainment. Executive producers are Glenn Hugill for Possessed and Michael Kelpie, Martin Scott and Barry Hart for Potato.
ITV Studios will handle international distribution for the format.
The broadcaster most recently announced it had postponed filming for the 15th season of the competition format Britain’s Got Talent – produced by Thames and Syco — due to COVID-19 safety concerns.
