Michael Seitzman’s Maniac Productions has appointed former SideCar drama executive Jeff Nemon as senior vice president of development.
In the role, Nemon (pictured) will focus on developing both scripted and unscripted projects for Seitzman’s Los Angeles-based production outfit that recently secured a first-look deal for television with Blumhouse (The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst, The Good Lord Bird).
Most recently, Nemon served as SVP of drama development at SideCar Content Accelerator, the television studio founded by The Jackal Group’s Gail Berman.
Prior to SideCar, Nemon was the VP of TV development at Valhalla Entertainment, where he worked closely with The Walking Dead franchise. Previous to this, he worked at CBS Television Studios and in the TV literary department of The Collective management company.
Maniac Productions is currently developing both a scripted and unscripted series based on the Detroit Youth Choir, which captivated America during the 14th season of America’s Got Talent. Both projects are in collaboration with Blumhouse Television.
