Munich-headquartered film and TV outfit Leonine Studios has appointed former Hulu and Google executive Heather Moosnick to its advisory board.
Moosnick, CEO of Moosnick Media Consulting Group, has more than 20 years of experience in content strategy, business development and partnership management.
As SVP of content partnerships at Hulu, a role she held from November 2018 to January 2020, Moosnick led the platform’s strategy for content partnerships and strategic acquisitions for its live and on-demand subscription streaming services.
At Google, she was the director of global business development, strategy and content partner management for YouTube TV and Google Fiber, including all TV networks and subsidiaries.
Prior to that, Moosnick led the music label partnerships for YouTube, where she was responsible for the rollout of YouTube TV, YouTube Premium and YouTube Music.
Moosnick also held senior positions at Warner Music Group (WMG), CBS and Viacom (MTV Networks).
She previously served as a board member for Now//with and Mediawan.
Leonine’s advisory board is also chaired by the founder and managing partner of Atwater Capital, Vania Schlogel; Bettina Reitz, president of the University of Television and Film in Munich; Philipp Freise, partner and co-head of European private equity, KKR; Philipp Schälli, principal private equity, KKR; and Andreas Wiele, senior advisory board, KKR.
Leonine Studios, led by CEO Fred Kogel, most recently tapped Sebastian Heinlein as head of development and creative director for its label SEO Entertainment.
The studio produces feature films, series, TV shows, entertainment formats, infotainment formats and social media content, with three divisions under its banner: Leonine Production, Leonine Distribution and Leonine Licensing.
Production companies under Leonine Studios include i&u TV, Odeon Entertainment, Odeon Fiction, SEO Entertainment, W&B Television and Wiedemann & Berg Film.
