LA-based Unanimous Media has named Jenelle Lindsay as its new EVP for film and television, and has brought in filmmaker Brian Tetsuro Ivie to serve as creative producer for film and television.

As part of her new remit, Lindsay will lead scripted drama and comedy, unscripted shows, mini-series, animation, film and documentary.

Lindsay (pictured left), who has more than 22 years of production, development and storytelling experience, first joined Unanimous in 2018 – the company’s first hire. Prior to that, she served as VP of development at Endemol USA, and held leadership positions at Katalyst Media and Sony Pictures Television.

For his part, Ivie (right) will manage a slate of film, television and documentary projects, and develop several of his own in-house.

The filmmaker, whose previous work as both a director and producer has often grappled with complex religious and sociopolitical topics, will also be heading the faith vertical in collaboration with Lindsay and Unanimous co-founders Erick Peyton and Stephen Curry (center).

For Ivie’s debut with Unanimous, he is developing Cancer Alley, a documentary feature following a series of families living in what is considered the most contaminated place in America, and The Gentlemen, a true story set in the world of high school step. More projects are in the works and expected to be announced soon.

Unanimous Media was founded by three-time NBA champion and two-time MVP Curry and partner Peyton. It produces television, film, digital and general content, with the goal to elevate diverse voices and shine a light on narratives that need to be heard.

“Jenelle has fantastic taste and instinct on what will works within our mandate, and she been an integral part of our growth since we launched and we lean on her and her 22 years of experience to really spearhead all aspects of the company forward,” said Peyton and Curry in a statement. “We have been big fans of Brian since we partnered on EMANUEL and are excited for him to join the team here at Unanimous. We believe his shared passion and perspective will amplify Unanimous’ mission to inspire and educate.”
