Producer Craig Plestis’ Smart Dog Media (The Masked Singer, The Masked Dancer, Celebrity Show Off) has set a May 10 release date for the first episode of its latest series Unicorn Hunters.
Ready to challenge popular business shows, the new series shines a spotlight on emerging growth companies looking to reach the $1 billion “unicorn” valuation mark while rallying individual investors worldwide to help fund their breakout ventures.
Billed as “enrichtainment,” the show mixes entertainment with the potential for consumers to back select pre-IPO investment opportunities, thereby democratizing wealth creation.
The series features a “Circle of Money” panel that includes seven entrepreneurs and business titans who critique and debate each unicorn presentation, ultimately deciding whether or not to invest their money.
“My whole career has been based on taking risks, thinking outside the box, being innovative and even prescient,” said Plestis, executive producer. “When I was offered the opportunity to get involved with this show and these amazing entrepreneurs, I jumped at the chance to do something different that could actually make a difference… And on a streaming platform that will make it accessible to everyone around the world. A first for me.”
The “Circle of Money” expert panel includes Steve Wozniak (co-founder of Apple), Alex Konanykhin (CEO of TransparentBusiness), Lance Bass (singer, actor, producer and investor), Rosa Gumataotao Rios (former Treasurer of the United States), Moe Vela (attorney, author, entrepreneur and former director of administration to President Joe Biden), Silvina Moschini (co-founder, chairwoman and president of TransparentBusiness) and Scott Livingston (pre-IPO financing expert and chairman/CEO of Livingston Securities).
Unicorn Hunters will premiere on UnicornHunters.com with parallel distribution via Amazon Prime and multiple online channels, including LinkedIn Broadcast, Facebook Video, YouTube and Vimeo.
