UK pubcaster Channel 5, which is owned by ViacomCBS, has greenlit Motorhoming with Merton & Webster (working title).

The show’s concept tracks comic couple Paul Merton and Suki Webster as they hit the road in a recreational vehicle, exploring this increasingly popular way of traveling that saw a record jump in motorhome and campervan sales in 2020.

On their travels the duo takes in the sights, tastes local dishes, meets fellow motorhome enthusiasts and shares caravanning hacks and secrets.

The six-part series will be co-produced by Curve Media and Motion Content Group. Charlie Bunce will be serving as exec producer for Curve with Martin Oxley for Motion Content Group. The series was ordered by commissioning editor Kit Morey.

Motorhoming with Merton & Webster (working title) will begin filming later on this year.
