Roc Nation has a new EVP of TV and film with former CAA and ICM agent Lori York taking the role.
Realscreen understands that York moved into the post earlier this month.
York was an agent in the television-alternative department with Creative Arts Agency from 2016 until September of last year. There, York represented leading unscripted producers such as All3Media, Sirens Media, Big Fish Entertainment, Truly Original and Thinkfactory Media. Prior to this she worked in the alternative TV department at ICM Partners from 2011 to 2015.
Before joining ICM, York served as a TV packaging agent with N.S. Bienstock, and worked as director of development at SpikeTV.
New York-headquartered Roc Nation, a full-service entertainment agency founded by entrepreneurial hip-hop icon Jay-Z in 2008, has a client list boasting names such as Rihanna, Alicia Keys and J. Cole. Roc Nation supports its clients through artist management, music publishing, touring, production and brand development.
The company has also been active in the doc production space, coproducing with the Intellectual Property Corporation the Amazon Prime series Free Meek, following hip hop artist Meek Mill. Jay-Z also served as executive producer on Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story, which aired on the Paramount Network in 2018.
