Silverlining secures pre-sales for Diana’s Decades

Finance broker and distribution agent Silverlining Rights has signed multiple global pre-sales for UK producer Spun Gold TV’s upcoming landmark ITV series Diana’s Decades.

Silverlining secured a substantial proportion of the production budget at the development stage through pre-sales to  brooadcasters globally, with Network 10 (Australia); TVNZ (New Zealand); SVT (Sweden); NRK (Norway); TV2 (Denmark); EO (Netherlands); and BBC Lifestyle Poland and South Africa committing to the project at an early stage.

Further presales include BBC Select (U.S.); DIRECTV and DIRECTV GO (Latin America); Sky Play (Brazil); RAI DOCUMENTARI (Italy); ORF III (Austria); RTL (Belgium); SBS (Belgium); Mediengruppe RTL (Germany); SIC (Portugal); Czech TV; and Virgin Media Television (Ireland).

Diana’s Decades (pictured; 3 x 60 minutes) highlights how an era of Princess Diana’s life encapsulated the spirit of the age and inspired social change. The series includes archive footage from her life alongside scenes from the changing social, fashion and economic cultures Diana lived through during the 1980s and ’90s.

Silverlining also has exclusive global distribution rights to other Spun Gold titles The Rise and Fall of the Spanish King and Prince Albert’s Secret Papers.

Mediafisch signs on as global production, distribution partner for My Perfect Supercar

Mediafisch has signed a deal with Small World International, a Joe Lewis Company, to be the worldwide distribution and production partners for the unscripted television series My Perfect Supercar.

The six-part, host-led travelogue series is being produced in association with The Supercar Owners Circle.

Vice FAST Channel launches on Samsung TV Plus

Vice has launched its FAST channel on Samsung TV Plus, Samsung’s free, ad-supported streaming platform.

The channel features premium series and documentaries covering culture, entertainment, food, tech, sports and news from across Vice Media Group, which is looking to expand in the AVOD sector.

Programming on the Vice channel will include TV library content, longer-length digital content adapted for TV and a selection of Vice World News titles.

WildEarth to roll out on Rakuten TV

WildEarth has penned a deal with Rakuten TV to be available in 40 territories in Europe and in Japan.

The initial rollout of the nature-focused channel on Rakuten TV will be in the UK, Ireland and the Nordics.

“We are eager to contribute once again to the disruption of the entertainment industry with this major step on the growth and innovation on Rakuten TV, which aims to enrich our business model and content offer” stated Jacinto Roca, founder and CEO at Rakuten TV, said in a statement.

“At a time when the entertainment sector is living an unprecedented transformation, and consumption habits are constantly evolving, we are striving to adapt our business model to meet users and advertisers needs at once.”
