Pact, a UK trade organization for independent TV and film, will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year by launching an initiative to support 30 emerging indie production companies from around the UK.
Future30 is set up to support emerging indies that the trade group hopes can become gamechangers for the industry moving forward. Indies are invited to pitch to Future30 for tailored development program with access to industry experts who can help grow their business, along with two years of free membership to Pact.
Submissions to the new initiative will be judged by a panel of experienced senior producers. Successful applicants will be announced at the end of September.
Pact cited successful UK independent productions from the past such as Who Wants to be a Millionaire and The Bodyguard, the likes of which they hope to continue to nurture with this program.
“The Pact Future30 initiative is a fantastic opportunity for up-and-coming content creators to benefit – for free – from all that Pact has to offer – plus a tailor-made development programme and access to senior industry figures,” said Hakan Kousetta, Pact chair and CEO of 60FortyFilms.
