BBC1 will premiere the entertainment special Billie Eilish: Up Close from ITV Studios-owned So Television (The Graham Norton Show) this week.

The 45-minute special, filmed in Eilish’s (pictured) hometown of Los Angeles, will see the music phenomenon in conversation with BBC Radio1 DJ Clara Amfo about her latest album Happier Than Ever and her rise to fame.

It will be accompanied by Radio 1 Live Lounge: Billie Eilish Special which will see the singer perform a selection of tracks at the Radio 1 Live Lounge.

Billie Eilish: Up Close is executive produced by Graham Stuart and Andy Rowe, and is directed by James Merryman. It was commissioned by Jan Younghusband, commissioning editor for BBC Music.

The film premieres July 31.
