ITN Productions has made two appointments — hiring producer Claudine Parrish and former Raw executive Mike Griffiths — as it looks to strengthen its international and domestic factual business.
Griffiths (pictured, left), previously VP of U.S. factual programming at Raw, takes up the role of international executive producer, reporting to Ian Russell, head of international programs.
Parrish (right), currently producing the revamped 20-part series of Married at First Sight for E4, is set to join ITN in September as UK factual executive producer. She will report to MD of television, Ian Rumsey.
Over the past decade, Griffiths has developed and overseen a range of programs, from National Geographic’s specialist factual adventures Eating with Cannibals and The Witchdoctor Will See You Now to Sky1′s Gadget Geeks and Auto Biography for Discovery+.
Most recently, he served as director of his own Griffiths Productions and a freelance showrunner at Plimsoll Productions. At Raw, where Griffiths worked from 2014 to 2020, he created and produced the Discovery Channel’s returning hits Gold Rush: Dave Turin’s Lost Mine, now in its fourth season, and Homestead Rescue, in its seventh season.
Prior to that he was an award-winning producer of UK television series such as Brainiac: Science Abuse and Relentless.
Parrish, meanwhile, joins ITN with a track record of working across major UK broadcasters producing and directing a raft of documentaries, factual entertainment formats, current affairs and lifestyle features.
Last summer she produced Inside Poundland, ITNP’s two-parter for Channel 4. Her other credits include Great British Menu for BBC2; A Berry Royal Christmas for BBC1; The British Tribe Next Door for Channel 4; ITV2′s Educating Joey Essex; Benefits by the Sea for C5; and the BBC documentary Ice Town: Life on the Edge.
Rumsey said in a statement: “It’s vital that we continue to build a team of outstanding talent that helps grow our business both in the UK and internationally. Claudine and Mike are talented creatives with a gift and passion for making great programmes.”
