Netflix’s collaborations with David Attenborough and the Apple TV+ series Tiny World lead the finalists for the 2021 Jackson Wild Media Awards.

The feature documentary David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet from Silverback Films picked up seven nominations, including for best feature, alongside Wildbear Entertainment’s Playing with Sharks: The Valerie Taylor Story and Howard Hall Productions’ Soul of the Ocean, which both received three nominations each. Attenborough’s other recent Netflix project, David Attenborough’s Life in Colour (pictured), is also up for two awards.

Meanwhile, the Apple TV+ nature series Tiny World received five award nominations, including one for limited series, and BBC Studios’ Antarctica is up for four awards.

Submissions for this year’s Jackson Wild Media Awards include over 750 category entries from nearly 30 different countries. A panel of judges from around the world will select the winners over the coming weeks, to be announced at the Sept. 30 awards gala, the culmination of the 30th anniversary Jackson Wild Summit.
