U.S. production group All3Media America has partnered with Emmy-winning executive producer showrunner Charles Wachter (ABC’s Holey Moley) to launch the multi-genre unscripted production venture, Hard North Media.

The prodco will create and produce entertainment formats, competition series, game shows and live events for broadcast, streaming and cable networks in the U.S.

Wachter (pictured) has produced more than 35 television series. In addition to executive producing and showrunning all four seasons of Eureka Productions’ Holey Moley, his other notable credits include the Emmy-winning Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution (ABC), King of the Nerds (TBS) and the reboot of classic competition series Fear Factor (MTV).

In 2021, Wachter also executive produced and was showrunner for ABC’s The Celebrity Dating Game and Youtube’s Copy That!

Wachter has developed original IP, having sold new formats to a multitude of buyers, including ABC, NBC, Amazon, Netflix, A&E, and Youtube among others. He also has pilots in development at Netflix and CBC in Canada.

In addition to his career in production, Wachter’s first novel, science thriller The Twin Paradox, is now optioned for film and television.

All3Media’s production companies in America have produced such series as 12 Dates of Christmas (HBO Max), The Hustler (ABC), The Circle (Netflix), Undercover Boss (CBS), Chrisley Knows Best (USA), Sweet Life: Los Angeles (HBO Max), Worst Cooks in America (Food Network), Puppy Bowl (Animal Planet), Baker’s Dozen (Hulu) and more.

“Charles is one of the most successful unscripted creators and showrunners in the business and joins us at a time when demand in this space has never been stronger,” said Jane Turton, All3Media CEO, in a statement. “His fantastic credentials and relationships with leading networks and platforms perfectly complement our core unscripted business in the U.S.”

“I can’t think of anywhere better to launch a new venture like Hard North Media,” Wachter added.  “All3Media is a place that empowers creative talent and is home to some of the most successful unscripted series in the U.S.”
