Amazon Prime Video and Banijay Italia have slated a new celebrity lifestyle show, The Ferragnez: The Series, about Italy’s hottest young celebrity couple.

The eight-part series is produced by Banijay Italia for Amazon Studios and will launch exclusively on Prime Video in 240 countries and territories in December 2021. It will follow Italy’s most famous young couple: Chiara Ferragni, a digital entrepreneur who topped Forbes‘ “Most Powerful Influencers in Fashion,” list and Fedez, a chart-topping Italian rapper and singer.

Together the couple, known as the Ferrangez, have millions of followers on Instagram, where they share much of their lives. The Ferrangez: The Series will give viewers unrestricted access to the pair and their glamorous lives.

The docu-reality series was filmed in late 2020 and 2021, a period that saw Ferragni give birth to their second child, Vittoria, while Fedez performed at the world-renowned Sanremo Music Festival for the first time. The series will also feature the couple’s oldest son, Leone, as well as their parents, Chiara’s sisters and their partners, Fedez’s grandmother and more.

The new series extends the ongoing collaboration between the couple and Amazon Prime Video. Fedez is a social brand ambassador for Prime Video in Italy — the first of its kind in Europe — and he was one of the contestants on the first season of Celebrity Hunted: Caccia all’Uomo, the first Italian Amazon Original show, and was also the host and referee of LOL: Chi ride è fuori. Ferragni, meanwhile, was a judge on the first season of Making the Cut, the Amazon Original fashion competition presented by Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn, and she also stars in the documentary Chiara Ferragni Unposted, which was presented at the 2019 Venice Film Festival and streams exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

“This new fantastic Italian Amazon Original production is the latest example of our commitment and investment in the Italian creative community,” Georgia Brown, Amazon Studios’ head of European Originals, said in a release. “I am sure The Ferragnez: The Series will entertain Prime Video’s audiences in Italy and around the world by offering an unprecedented perspective on this iconic couple.”

Added Nicole Morganti, head of Amazon Originals, Italy: “This series shows the lives of a young couple who share their story without filters, with witty honesty and surprising transparency, to connect deeper with their fans. Packed with twists and turns and with a high production value, The Ferragnez: The Series has all the qualities required to become a moment of great entertainment and pure escapism for fans and those new to the couple alike.”

“We are very happy to continue our collaboration with Amazon Prime Video. Following Ferro and Dinner Club, The Ferragnez: The Series, has given us a new and exciting challenge, both from a narrative and productive point of view,” said Fabrizio Ievolella, CEO of Banijay Italia. “We are incredibly proud to tell the story of one of the most known Italian families, from a totally new perspective, away from the world of social media. This would not have been possible without Chiara and Federico trusting us, and we thank them for this. They opened the doors to their private lives, sharing it all authentically and without any fear. The couple shared their joys, fears, successes and hardships, showing the audience their true selves.”
