Schitt’s Creek star Eugene Levy is off to see the world for Apple’s two-year-old streaming service, Apple TV+.
The Reluctant Traveler, produced by UK-based and ITV Studios-backed prodco Twofour, sees host and executive producer Levy visiting some of the world’s most wonderful hotels, while also exploring the people and places around them.
The series will also be executive produced by David Brindley, who joined Twofour in 2019 as chief creative officer, following a stint as the BBC’s head of commissioning for popular factual and factual entertainment.
An air date for the series has not yet been announced. It joins Apple TV+’s unscripted and non-fiction roster, which most recently has included Todd Hayne’s feature doc on iconic avant-rock band The Velvet Underground, RJ Cutler’s Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry, and a film about Peanuts creator Charles Schulz, Who Are You, Charlie Brown?, from Imagine Documentaries and WildBrain. The streaming service, available in more than 100 countries and regions, launched on November 1, 2019.
