Clear Cut Pictures names Kate George group head of production

London-based post-production house Clear Cut Pictures has announced the appointment of veteran post producer Kate George to the newly-created position of group head of production.

George (pictured) joins Clear Cut after 10 years at Envy, where she was senior post producer, working on high-profile shows like Gogglebox (Studio Lambert, Channel 4) and Greta Thunberg: A Year To Change the World (BBC Studios Science Unit, BBC One).

“We are thrilled that Kate is joining the Clear Cut family, she has an unrivaled wealth of knowledge and experience in the post production industry. Her extensive project management skills are a key part of our plans for expansion in 2022,” said Rowan Bray, managing director at Clear Cut Group, in a release.

Added George: “The Clear Cut Group companies have a fantastic creative team and a diverse client base, with impressive plans for the coming months — it’s a really exciting time to join the company and I can’t wait to get started.”

Zinc Media, Sky Arts team on photography series

Zinc Media Group and Sky Arts are collaborating on the channel’s first ad-funded program. The series is called My Greatest Shot, and is produced by Zinc Communicate, Zinc Media’s branded content division, and Tern Television, Zinc’s leading Nations factual producer.

The six-part series was developed in partnership with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and is also Adobe’s first ad-funded program in the UK.

My Greatest Shot explores the stories behind some of the world’s most iconic photos, taking viewers behind the lens to meet the men and women who created them. The series features photographers unpacking their journey and sharing highlights from throughout their careers, as well as telling the story, planning and vision behind the shot in question. Each half-hour episode will explore two iconic photos sharing a theme like travel, street, portrait, food and more.

The series was ordered by Benedetta Pinelli at Sky Arts and Simon Morris at Adobe. It is executive produced by Harry Bell for Tern Television at Zinc Media.
