Paris-headquartered superindie Banijay has brought on unscripted production veteran Natalka Znak to serve as CEO of its Remarkable Entertainment and Initial labels, while also acquiring her ZnakTV shingle.

Znak will serve as CEO across the three companies — running ZnakTV in the U.S., as well as the two UK-based labels behind such programming as Pointless, Starstruck, The Wall, Soccer Aid, Tenable and Big Brother.

“Natalka is utterly unique,” said Lucinda Hicks, CEO of Banijay UK, in a statement. “No one has a track record for entertainment hits like her, and combined with her razor-sharp commercial acumen and fantastic relationships in both the UK and U.S., she is an incredibly exciting appointment for Remarkable and Banijay UK.

“We have hugely talented teams within both Remarkable Entertainment and Initial, and bolstered by Natalka’s dynamic leadership, new ideas and relationships, we are really supersizing our entertainment ambitions,” she added.

Znak’s career milestones in unscripted have included executive producing such iconic formats as I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Hell’s Kitchen and Love Island while at ITV Studios. Following that run, she served as CCO and then CEO of Zodiak USA, where she produced shows such as The Secret Millionaire
and Celebrity Wife Swap for ABC, and the truTV series Hardcore Pawn, Lizard Lick Towing and Killer Karaoke.

She established ZnakTV after splitting from a deal with Sky Studios via her previous shingle, Znak & Co. Credits under the Znak & Co. banner included Ultimate Tag, Meghan Markle: An American Princess and Revolution for Fox.

Remarkable Entertainment’s senior team, including creative directors Cat Lawson, Tamara Gilder and Richard Hague, will report to Znak. Co-MDs Cat Lynch and Katy Manley will continue to run Initial, reporting to Znak as well.

Reporting to Hicks, Znak will take up the role at the end of the year.

“I am incredibly excited to work with all the talented people at Remarkable and Initial,” offered Znak. “Together, I know we will create TV’s next big hits. And, Banijay also has all my favorite shows in their formats catalogue. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
