Realscreen has brought on veteran film industry journalist Andrew Tracy as its associate editor.

Tracy joins the international trade for the unscripted and non-fiction screen content business from Toronto-headquartered film journal Cinema Scope, where he held the managing editor post for close to 16 years.

In addition to Cinema Scope, Tracy served as a senior editor for the Toronto International Film Festival over a 10-year period, with duties ranging from editing the organization’s triannual programming magazine, 180°, to commissioning and editing online content, to copy editing, proofing and contributing to a variety of other publications ranging from monographs to exhibition catalogues to anthologies. He also served as a scriptwriter and consultant to the Vice TV series The Vice Guide to Film.

Tracy joins news editor Andrew Jeffrey, senior staff writer Justin Anderson and editor/content director Barry Walsh as part of the Realscreen editorial team.

“Given his range of knowledge of, and love for the film medium, and familiarity with the ins and outs of the screen content industry and Realscreen‘s corner of it, I’m very happy to welcome Andrew Tracy to our incredible editorial team,” Walsh said in a statement.
