The Realscreen Summit scheduled for Austin, Texas from January 25 to 28 has been postponed until June, 2022 and will now take place in Dana Point, California.

“This was an agonizing decision,” said Claire Macdonald, SVP and publisher of Realscreen. “There is such a tangible desire for the international unscripted and non-fiction community to congregate, and our team has been working on building a robust and exciting program for the last many months.

“Our sponsors have shown their loyalty and support for Realscreen, and our numbers are still healthy, at about two-thirds of a non-COVID year,” she added, “But as lockdowns and travel restrictions continue to evolve, we have decided it’s prudent to postpone at this time.

“Our reputation is built on providing a vibrant marketplace and forum for the international community, and at this juncture we can’t be sure that we’re going to be able to deliver the caliber of event we are known for,” Macdonald said. “We wanted to provide as much notice as possible to attendees and sponsors, so that they can adjust travel plans now.”

Hotel reservations at the JW Marriott Austin will not be charged to clients’ credit cards and will be automatically cancelled.

More details around the re-scheduled event will be released in January. Current registrations and sponsorships will be transferred to the June event. Questions should be directed to customersupport@realscreensummit.com, or in the case of sponsorship, directly to the Realscreen sales department.
