ITV Studios has promoted Arjan Pomper from chief operating officer of its Global Entertainment division to managing director.
Reporting directly to David McGraynor, chief operating officer of ITV Studios, Pomper is tasked with growing ITV Studios’ global formats business, which already features such titles as The Voice , Love Island, The Chase, I Am A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, and Come Dine With Me within its portfolio, as well as newer titles including Rat in the Kitchen, Sitting on a Fortune and Walk the Line.
Pomper joined ITVS’ Global Entertainment division as COO in September 2020. Since October 2021 he has jointly the business with Kim Dingler. Dingler will continue in her role as chief commercial officer as part of the Global Entertainment board.
Prior to ITVS, Pomper served as CEO of Netherlands, Middle East and Africa for Dentsu, and was a founder of AMPN, a content and production company in Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as other media companies.
“The formats and content business is going through some interesting developments, and in the past 16 months, I’ve seen that the demand for the very best in entertainment has never been stronger,” said Pomper in a statement.
