Veteran executive Connie Hodson has left her position as head of partnerships and business for Beyond Rights, the distribution arm of Beyond International.

Hodson exited the company at Christmas, the company confirmed to Realscreen. Hodson had been hired to the position, which was newly created at the time, in October of 2020.

“I can confirm that Connie Hodson, Beyond Rights’ head of partnerships and business, decided to leave the business,” said Mikael Borglund, CEO and managing director of Beyond International, in a statement.

“This news comes after the recent departures of Simona Argenti (head of sales) and Claire Lowe (commercial and business affairs director), two other members of the senior management team. All three played significant roles in helping to merge the TCB Media Rights and Beyond Distribution businesses and processes during the past 18 months, setting the company on its current course.”

According to Borglund, the exits are an opportunity for the company to re-examine things.

“With both the industry and our business evolving all the time, these departures have provided us with a fresh opportunity to review our current structure, its key functions, and what’s likely to be needed for the business going forward,” he said.

Borglund says further restructuring will take place under Beyond Rights’ new CEO, David Smyth, who took the post in November of last year, working alongside Borglund himself.

“Simona and Claire have already started their next adventures, while Connie is expected to make an announcement in the near future,” Borglund added. “We wish them all well and thank them for their hard work, professionalism, and support.”
